The inaugural Great Murry River Postie Challenge was held on the 27th-29th October this year and saw many riders tackle up to 200km a day in the pursuit to raise money for local prostate cancer support services.

Organised by The Horizon Committee Inc., who have been involved in fundraising for cancer support services since 2004 and raised over $1.6 m, with the Male Bag Ride Foundation, also a supporter of the prostate cancer services, which has been conducting postie bike rides since 2013.

Of those riders tackling the bitumen, unsealed roads and dirt tracks of Echuca, Moama, Barmah, Deniliquin and in between was Andrew Miller agent of Ruralco Property Echuca.

Andrew and his son Ross sponsored by Ruralco Property enjoyed the different scenery and hospitality of the local towns all while raising funds for a very worthy cause. ‘Such a fantastic and important event helping to raise funds for local prostate cancer services, something that will help local men stay local while receiving treatment for prostate cancer’.
