The Bonds are further signifying their intention to retire by holding a major clearing sale on the property on Saturday 21 April which will feature Geoff’s thirty two years of collecting.

Key lots will include three Lanz Bulldog hot-bulb tractors in working condition, a fourth that is complete in parts, an early Lister diesel pump set and a Kelly & Lewis vintage hot bulb engine that is unique in itself.

Ruralco ‘s selling agent Brendan Woodley says that the Walpara property is an ideal hobby or lifestyle property on a bitumen road and midway between the good towns of Seymour and Yea.

“Geoff Bond is an old school mechanical and machine enthusiast who originally travelled long distances to acquire his collection.

“For instance the original Kelly & Lewis hot bulb engine which is largely complete is thought to have been one of 350 engines bought by an earlier Grain Elevators Board to power conveyors at their silo storages around the estate.

“I doubt that many of these remain.

“Such is the volume of gear that we continue to find interesting mechanical pieces as we unpack the storage sheds” Adam says.
